Brilliant, powerful, dynamic, the sun provides light and warmth to our world and is essential to all life on earth. In past times the sun was worshiped and called by many names from Ra in Egypt, Helios in Greece, Apollo in Rome and Maui in Polynesia. Around 15 million degrees C at its center and 6 million degrees C at its surface its energy radiates out to bathe our beautiful blue planet in a warm golden glow. Thank god for the sun !
