Suddenly is part of The White Hour series and marks its evolution. Leaves, long a symbol of memory, traces, and the passage of time, no longer form only a surface but become a body in transformation: a canopy emerging from the figure, dissolving the boundaries between self and nature. Fragments of paper, layered surfaces, and kintsugi-inspired cracks continue to speak of what has been lived, preserved, and mended. At the heart of the painting, a rabbit appears almost unexpectedly—a quiet presence, something that seems to emerge all at once, yet has always been there, waiting to be seen. Within this suspended space between memory and imagination, nature becomes the place where identity settles, transforms, and continues to grow.

The botanical prints were handmade on tissue paper, printed using leaves. The edges are painted and it is ready to hang. The surface is finished with a double layer of water-based satin varnish, which makes it resistant to UV rays and the passage of time.

Materials used:

Acrylic and botanical collage on cradled birch wood panel.
