Submerged Reverie is a small contemporary abstract that feels both underwater and dreamlike.
Waves of tangerine orange, coral, turquoise, aqua and soft blush pink float above a deep, inky navy blue, like light breaking through water. Playful loops, ribbons and gestural marks swirl through translucent layers, creating a sense of floating, drifting and remembering.
I painted this piece thinking about those quiet moments when you are half awake, half dreaming, submerged in color, memory and emotion. The dark navy grounds the composition while the bright pinks and oranges bring joy and warmth.
It is a small format original that makes a big impact in small spaces, perfect above a console table, in a bedroom, entryway, home office or modern living room.
