"Stress of Weather" was inspired by those moments before a storm, when the landscape falls into an uneasy stillness and the air feels charged with expectation. Everything appears calm, yet you can sense that change is approaching.

I wanted to capture that fragile balance between quiet and movement, uncertainty and resilience. Built with expressive brushwork and palette knife textures, layers of cool greys, deep blues and earthy tones create an atmospheric landscape that shifts between representation and abstraction. The painting reflects not only the changing moods of nature, but also those inner moments when we gather strength before moving forward.

This work invites the viewer to pause, breathe, and recognise the beauty that can exist even within tension.
