Artwork description:

I was drawn to capturing these majestic Bird of Paradise flowers standing so tall and proud in the botanical garden. Its my largest screen print to date made up of seven layers of different colours.

An original hand-pulled screen print. One colour is printed at a time by hand using a squeegee which pushes ink through the screen onto the paper. For each new colour the artist makes a separate drawing/stencil and different coloured layers are built up to create a design.

Materials used:

Hand pulled screenprint using acrylic screenprinking inks onto paper
