Original artwork description:

This small still life was painted from nature in France. I bought this sweet yellow plums in a fabulous village Riquewihr in Alsace and was inspired by its warm color and smooth texture to paint this immediate watercolor. I sprinkled plums on the glassy table, where already were a bowl with dark grapes and my hat, I've just taken off. I tried to express the soft sunlit, plays on the glossy peel of fruits. Colors vary from greenish to yellow and warm red, iridescent and sheen. The contrast black ribbon on the hat accentuates gentleness of shades of plums.
