Original artwork description
I painted this spring with thick brushstrokes, as if the very air were trembling with light and warmth. The old village house hid behind the lilac bushes like a quiet memory from childhood. I wanted to convey not the precision of forms, but the living breath of awakening nature. The lilac burst into shades of purple and pink on the canvas, like the music of May. I intentionally left the sky light and transparent so that it would carry a feeling of freedom. The red fence became the rhythm of the painting, connecting the house, the garden, and the road into one whole. I applied each palette-knife stroke quickly, trusting emotion more than calculation. In this work, the scent of damp earth, the fresh wind, and the silence of the morning were especially important to me. I sought to show how spring returns hope and inner light to a person. The painting “Spring and Lilac” became my declaration of love for nature and simple rural landscapes.
