they found refuge in every flame
and in the chambers of volcanoes.

Thank heavens,
our eyes,
fascinated,
dazzled,
blinded by the searing heat
of the blazing blaze,
do not see them.

For humans fear,
above all else,
whatever can elude
their powers of discernment.
