Original artwork description
A striking vertical painting from the pedestrian crossing series exploring the poetry and subtle absurdity of everyday urban life. A solitary woman carrying a oversized cake as she crosses a pedestrian crossing. I wanted to transform the usual landscape of the city into something playful and surreal, where the bold stripes echo the delicate dots of the cake. I painted a strong and graphic composition combining luminous tones with quieter areas, The unexpected scale of the cake brings a touch of humor inviting the viewer to imagine the story behond the scene.
