Southern Islands Abstraction (2019) Original Oil Painting by Evgen Semenyuk

Southern Islands Abstraction. 2019. Oil on canvas. 30 x 50 cm.

1. Description of the Work
A nearly azure, textured plane is positioned beneath the velvety blue top part of the painting, іmoothly moving into the central part, where brushstrokes of ochre and green convey the feeling of textured ocean coastline. The scene is filled with a subdued tension between day and evening, the warm feeling of the southern islands, emphasized by the pink flair of abstract color planes.
