This painting is inspired by a spectacular sunset over the Sonoran desert in Arizona. The dramatic look of the landscape is achieved by strong contrast of light and dark values and opposite colors. Bright yellow, red and orange in the sky are juxtaposed to dark brown and green in the foreground with shades of purple in the mountains conveying distance and debt. The painting is expressive and warm. Shipped stretched, sides painted in neutral brown if shipped within the US, rolled in a tube for international shipping.
