Solar Storm Over Midnight - Large Abstract Orange and Navy Painting

Solar Storm Over Midnight is about that split second when everything lights up. I was thinking about those late nights when the sky feels both dark and on fire at the same time. I built this piece in layers, deep navy blues at the bottom almost like water, then these bursts of burnt orange, gold and yellow breaking through. There are a lot of drips and soft white veils in between.
It's a big, warm painting but the blue keeps it calm. It works best where it can breathe, above a sofa, in a bright loft, or in an office that needs some soul. It’s a statement, but not loud in a bad way.
