Soft Petals and Dust Motes (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Julia Kerrison

'Soft Petals and Dust Motes' is an ethereal, atmospheric study of light and botanical life. Painted in acrylic on a compact wooden panel, the artwork blends impressionistic textures with a gentle, dreamlike aesthetic. Delicate pops of warm orange petals emerge from a soft backdrop of muted earthy tones, slender stems, and seed heads. The composition is layered with luminous, circular light effects—evoking sunlight filtering through foliage or dust motes drifting in a calm breeze.

The natural grain and solid feel of the wooden panel add an organic grounding to this quiet, evocative piece. Perfect as an intimate standalone focal point or as part of a gallery wall, this painting brings a serene sense of nature indoors.
