Smile at life (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Bea Schubert

Smile at Life
Mixed media on canvas, 60 × 80 × 3.5 cm

A bird's-eye view of a perfect summer day in Mallorca. A woman in a pink polka-dot swimsuit relaxes on a striped towel, her face hidden under a golden sun hat. Around her float the little treasures of the beach: a watermelon slice, beach ball, fins, sunglasses, flip-flops, a palm tree and a flowering cactus, all set on a luminous turquoise ground.

Handwritten across the canvas is the message "smile at life", a smile to Mallorca and an invitation to embrace the everyday joy of living. Layered lines, bold colors and touches of gold give the work depth and a light, playful energy.
