Small head painted in a Rembrandt style. Paintined on a small canvas so i could focus on the head. It is painted with thick impasto paint, I believe this method of painting really lets the painting "live".
These small scale portraits can be very intimate and whilst they can be restricting they can also focus the mind on the subject.
