This series of works stemmed from the idea of depicting young women in various poses representing the concept of sleep. Sleep as a bridge between worlds, sleep as the antechamber of death. I also wanted to create tension and ambiguity, leaving the viewer to wonder whether the figures are simply sleeping or if something far more sinister has happened to them.
