Original artwork description
When I first created this piece I did not like it at all. I was trying to paint loose. I was trying to just be free. But I was forcing it. I was so discouraged with it that it went into a closet. Looking back on it now I am not sure what it was that made me so frustrated with the outcome. You can see my struggle with the piece in the brushstrokes. The bold colors that I used. When I look at it now I see a step in a long journey. This piece makes me smile when I look at it now. It is a reminder that some days will just be harder. But even on those hard days, there is color and sunshine to be found.
