Original artwork description:

As adults, we assume societal responsibilities and wear formal clothing, like the subject in this piece. But no matter which clothes and masks we wear, we always have a playful spirit inside of us that sometimes spills out of our uniforms. The subject isn't merely sitting for a portrait. He/she is climbing on the chair like a child would climb a jungle gym. The figure is headless because he/she isn't one person. The figure is all of us. The figure is also in a vulnerable position and casts a shadow of a rose, which symbolizes the fragility of our playful spirits.

Acrylic on Canvas
