I stand at the edge of silence, where the water does not move and time dissolves just like the colors in the landscape. The reeds before me are not merely plants – they are a trace of breath, a gentle gesture that lingered in the air a moment longer than it should have.
I paint a place that is not specific, yet everyone has known it at some point. It is the moment just before the wind stirs the surface. The moment when the world has not yet decided to move forward.
I let the colors merge, because memories do not have sharp edges either. And within this softness, I search for calm – quiet, deep, almost imperceptible.
Perhaps it is a landscape outside.
Or perhaps it is simply the one we carry within.
