We believe the Shiva is not alone as its identity. Shiva is the combination of both Shiv and Shakti.
Here in this painting, two different perspective of faces are given and are shown as one. Apart from that, Shivling(symbol of shiv-shakti) represents both of them and the leaf called 'Bael Patra' which is very dear to Shiva. Trishul symbolizes the weapon of Shiva.
