The works from the “She Paints Outside the Lines” series draw on a universal childhood moment: being told to color neatly within the printed shapes of a coloring book. The familiar instruction to “stay inside the lines” becomes a metaphor for the boundaries we learn long before we question them.
The pieces transform that idea into expressive, intuitive contemporary abstract art that celebrates creative freedom. Working on paper allows for direct, unfiltered gestures, capturing spontaneity, movement, and the raw energy of painting beyond what is prescribed.
Subtle marks and natural handling traces are inherent to original works on paper and highlight the authenticity of the process.
