Original artwork description:

Seeing the Sunset for a moment I was so grateful. It’s my favourite time and it’s that cosy, winding down time of day.
It was freezing cold day in January and it was such a colourful sky as I walked out of the garden centre cafe in Somerset. So I filmed the experience on my iPad as I knew it wouldn’t last long.
I used a thick watercolour paper with a rough texture called Bockingford 425 gsm 200 lb. I seem to use this watercolour paper often as it is great for wet on wet paintings. The sunset sky background colours were applied with a Chinese bushy goats hair brush and then I used another smaller Chinese brush and Filbert brush to rub, press and drag the paint for the trees and hedgerow.

Materials used:

Rough textured watercolour paper bockingford 425 gsm 200 lb, Pebeo watercolours, French artists watercolour, Chinese brushes, filbert brush,
