“Sea. Sail. Boat” is a perfect impressionist seascape viewed from the very shore edge, with a lone ship sailing among blue stormy waves. This beautiful interior painting is done on canvas with oils and palette knife. The piece examines the notion that a person is inherently lonely; within it I express this loneliness in space. The lights and darks of the artwork, the lowering gray sky with a gleam of sun are viewed, however, by someone else in the painting – the beholders themselves, who, entranced in its atmosphere, become its essential part, breaking into the loneliness. The boat is no longer alone in its world, and neither are the observers. The beautiful and romantic combination of paints fills it with a vibrant and pleasant perception of our life.
