Santa Claus with Milk and Cookie (2024) Original Oil Painting by Natalia Shaykina

This original artwork shows Santa Claus by a winter window, holding a glass of milk and a decorated Christmas cookie. Outside, the snowy night, full moon, glowing house lights and quiet winter landscape create a classic holiday atmosphere, while Santa’s red hat, white beard and warm expression bring a nostalgic Christmas feeling.

This piece would work beautifully as Christmas wall art for a living room, hallway, dining room, children’s room, cozy bedroom, cottage interior or holiday home decor. It is especially suitable for someone who loves Santa Claus art, traditional Christmas decor, winter window scenes, holiday artwork and warm festive interiors.

I painted this piece because I wanted to capture the gentle magic of Christmas night — the quiet moment when Santa pauses indoors while snow falls outside. The milk and cookie add a familiar holiday detail, making the scene feel personal, warm and full of childhood memories.

Created with high-quality professional European oil paints, the artwork has visible texture, layered brushwork and careful detail. The oil technique allows the face, beard, red fabric, cookie, glass, moonlit window and snowy background to reveal subtle colour variations and depth when seen in person.
