Original artwork description
This original acrylic painting is inspired by the dramatic mountain and lake landscape of the Salzkammergut region in Austria.
Two seated figures face the vast Alpine scenery, creating a quiet moment of connection between people, nature and place. Deep blue mountains, vivid green slopes and warm red and golden tones form a strong contrast and give the landscape an expressive, almost symbolic character.
The artwork is part of my Chromatic Austria series, in which I reinterpret Austrian landscapes through bold colour, emotional atmosphere and simplified forms rather than strict realism.
The painting was created with acrylic paint on stretched canvas using brushes and palette knives. Layered colour, visible marks and textured passages give the surface depth and movement.
