ABOUT THE ART WORK
The painting depicts a romantic seaside scene with sailboats in the rays of the setting sun. The main focus is a golden trail of light on the water, stretching from the horizon directly toward the viewer. It is painted with thick, impasto brushstrokes, like a scattering of precious stones: yellow, orange, pink, and even reddish hues shimmer on the surface of the sea, creating a sense of vibrant, iridescent light.
On either side of this trail of light, white sailboats move. Their sails are filled with a gentle breeze and illuminated by the warm evening light, making them appear almost translucent. The composition is rhythmic—the boats are positioned to create depth and draw the eye toward the mountainous coastline in the background.
