Original artwork description:
Original oil on linen painting of semi-abstract flowers. The inspiration for this piece comes from a hazy summer garden, with a dreamlike quality. I have deliberately not focused on detail to create realism, however there is more emphasis on the colour palette and interesting mark making. This is the first piece I have created of a set of new works using this soft and light semi-abstract approach to my painting techniques.
