The small lakes of the northern deep woods have a special magic to them. The tall white pines along their shore stand tall, as if guarding the perimeter. The still water reflects them like a mirror. It is cold, clear water, full of life. These little lakes are often deeper than you would think. On the soft breeze is the scents of the forest. A special kind of tranquility is found here in the Reflections Along the Shore. This little lake is one of many in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
