Original artwork description
A completely normal construction site at a motorway exit can be seen through the windshield in the rain: a firework of colors against the gray of the sky and the asphalt has arisen. The blurred construction site barriers, information signs, trees, clouds and vehicles can be seen in the background. Above this, the viewer sees the drops on the pane as a further level. Some of these drops are dramatic to look at with their reflections, while others are more reserved in color.
The asphalt with the reflections actually looks wet. I created this realistic impression through a carefully observed color scheme in which every centimeter of the painting has a different tint. The painting was painted with three layers of oil paint, the last two layers added are semi-transparent glazes, which give the picture an enormous depth.
