Quiet Strength (2025) Original Collage by Liubov Samoilova

A powerful contrast of flowing turquoise and grounded terracotta.

This semi-abstract painting is defined by a vivid interplay of cool turquoise and deep blue tones with warm terracotta accents.

Dynamic brushstrokes in bright turquoise, reddish-brown, and cream are layered with a collage fragment of a photographic female portrait. Textural surfaces and translucent overlays create a sense of movement and depth, allowing the composition to shift with the viewer’s perspective.

Part of the series On the Waves of Memory, the work explores fragmented imagery and layered perception through a consistent palette and visual rhythm. While connected to the series, the painting stands confidently as an independent piece.

Mounted in a wooden frame, it functions as a strong focal point in a contemporary interior or as part of a curated wall composition.
