Original artwork description
The magical moment before darkness, my polder, my home, the place where I live and which I love. The isles of Zeeland are surrounded by water and the light is reflected by the salty surface of that water. Zeeland is known for its famous light.
"I love how the sky is nearly everything.
The things on earth minimized."
" The purple sky, reflected in the traces on the land, is intense, almost overwhelming. There is sense of solitude, almost loneliness."
"Your low horizon lines are so dramatic and so very Dutch."
Inspired by Piet Mondriaan, who was working near my home.
