I always love the challenge of drawing deep dark forests. The levels of depth, form and textures require a great deal of concentration, a balancing act to not lose sight of the forest for the trees. Forests like this always remind me of old Arthurian-type legends, hence the knight and damsel, leaving the viewer wondering what the story is behind the scene. Old legends are easier to understand than the chaotic world we live in today.
