- Porcus delicti
Original artwork description
The title Porcus Delicti is a playful twist on the Latin expression Corpus Delicti, turning a serious legal term into a humorous crime involving a pig. The cheerful character of the image adds to this lightness, yet the subject carries a deeper thought: the animal is divided into the parts humans value as food, its identity reduced to what can be used. For me, this contrast opens up questions about how we see other living beings and the world around us. The wall-like background seems to enclose the scene, while tiny points of light suggest glimpses beyond it – hints of a wider world outside our immediate boundaries.
