"Pink Peony" is an original work from my "Fine Art Panels" series. This painting focuses on the interplay between the delicate, multi-layered petals of a blooming peony and a spontaneous, gestural background.
I created this piece using a traditional academic approach: starting with a detailed grisaille to establish light and volume, followed by several thin layers of oil glazes to achieve the vibrant pink hues and translucent effects. The expressive background is a signature element of my current research, providing a modern, dynamic contrast to the hyperrealistic flower.
