Pink Peonies on Dark Ground (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Elena Bogatova

A vibrant acrylic painting of a floral composition with large pink peonies, partially overlapping blossoms, delicate petals, green leaves, and slender stems, in the style of expressive contemporary floral painting with a decorative, painterly approach. The painting features a dense close-up arrangement of flowers extending beyond the edges of the composition, layered petals with visible directional brushstrokes, luminous pale pink and white highlights, vivid coral and magenta accents, subtle burgundy shadows, and strong contrast between the flowers and the dark ground. The background is deep charcoal black, creating a dramatic setting that emphasizes the luminous pink flowers. The overall aesthetic is expressive, elegant, lush, and contemporary, with a bold decorative character and a sense of abundant natural beauty.
