We live in a world made up of dualities. Joy and sorrow, adoration and contempt, potency and weakness, perfection and routine... In a naive, childish comprehension, one tend to strictly separate opposites and endove them with positive and negative sense. As we grow up and mature, we start seing more interconnections than antagonisms in those dualities. It takes a night to make a day, you know... Quite often, opposite concepts also serve as different sides of the same maxim. It is unlikely that I have seen in my life span anything more important for maturing of a soul than understanding and accepting the deep interconnection of various opposites. The string art technique I work with is the best way to symbolically illustrate these relationships, so I have dedicated a series of works to this subject. Each of these works contains two concepts. Both of them are intertwined by one continuous thread, and turn out to be inseparable, interdependent, and eventually much more related to each other than it could otherwise be depicted in a work of art. As always, each of the works in this series will be made in a limited edition of up to 20 copies. As always, each copy is completely equal to the very first one and made with the same adherence to perfection.

I leave the interpretation of this dualism to the discretion of the observer. I am sure that the personal experience of each of us refracts the truth in its own unique and sacred way.
