Original artwork description
A vibrant and colourful modern relief design revealing individual butterflies on closer inspection. Different shadows are cast from the up-turned wings depending on the dirrection of the light.
Each of these tiny three dimensional butterflies is punch-cut and decoratively arranged in a striped relief pattern in the centre of the frame, then mounted. They are attached to heavy watercolour paper within a white hardwood glazed deep box frame.
This piece is reminiscent of pink peonies on a summer's day in the garden :)
