Peak District Memories Original Oil Painting by oconnart

£225

An impressionist English landscape painting inspired by the prominent small jagged peaks of the Derbyshire Peak District of England, particularly around the area of the Dragons Back, Chrome Hill and Parkhouse Hill area.
The painting uses warm earthy greens, ochres and muted yellows across the hills and foreground, creating a gentle, late-summer or early-autumn feeling. The distant landscape is simplified and softly defined, allowing the eye to settle on the distinctive profile of the hills.

Above the hills, a dramatic, cloud-filled sky occupies much of the composition. Broad areas of pale beige and white are interspersed with darker, heavier clouds, giving the scene a sense of changing weather and atmospheric depth.

Painted with a palette knife using quality artists paints on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white square profile wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
Please note the frame may differ slightly to the one shown due to availability.

acrylic on canvas, varnish, and white wood frame
