Peace is an illusion

It seems that the world is beautiful, and safety is the norm every day, for every person. Wars in the past. But everything collapses overnight and all you can do is watch how shells of the Russian army fall on your city. Hiding in the basement, I covered myself with my blanket and its smell reminded me of peacetime, the aroma of washing powder, and some baking.
It gave me the strength to hide from the war in my blanket because it is a symbol of normal life, which Russia wants to take away from my whole country. My home, my comfort, my lifestyle. I believe in the victory of Ukraine because we are fighting for our core values.
