In this painting, I wanted to capture the special moment when the sun touches the sea horizon, while its light continues to live in the waves, the sky, and the wet shore.

The sky unfolds in a rich palette of violet, blue, pink, and warm golden tones. At the centre of the composition, sunlight breaks through the clouds, creating a sense of inner radiance and vast open space.

The sea is painted with energetic, textured strokes. The approaching waves combine cool blues and greens with warm reflections of sunlight. In the foreground, the light dissolves into reflections across the wet sand.

I worked with oil paints, combining brushwork and palette knife to create a lively surface where colour and texture convey the movement of the water and the changing nature of light.

This is not simply a seascape, but also a reflection on light, space, and those quiet moments that remain with us long after they have passed.

The painting is created in oil on canvas. Its generous horizontal format allows the viewer to experience the openness of the sea and makes it well suited to a contemporary interior.
