Passing Storm (2026) Original Mixed-media Painting by Mia Hague

24 x 29 x 3cm (framed) / 19 x 24cm (actual image size)

£350

Painting cottages in moody landscapes is my favourite way of spending time. I create movement by leaving in smudges and scratching into the paint so it feels like the weather.

This is original is painted with acrylics then my collage elements from my own photographs are added after. The cottage, a tree and the clouds. The whole images is then sealed for protection and longevity.

Framed ready to hang in a deep (3cm) wood oak frame.
I source my frames carefully, usually from antique shops, to make sure the whole piece works together. That the frame compliments the artwork, not distract from it.

I've taken real photographs of the work, not mock ups, so you can really see what you're getting. I love making and framing each and every one.

My work isn't polished. It's rustic and wild and I hope to create you a whole piece of original finished art, to add to that nook or empty wall space. Something different and curious that makes you feel something.
