Paeonia ''Coral Sunset' (2022) Photograph by Dianna Jazwinski

Peonies are joyful flowers appearing in mid to late spring about the times of the roses and are sheer opulence in their colour and form. They perfectly suit the dark background in this botanical print for highlighting the textures of their silky folds and golden stamens.

My work is created by arranging flowers repeatedly until I find a pleasing composition and then photographed traditionally using natural light. Digital adjustments are made to optimise the shadows, blacks and highlights.
