In this small but powerful study, I wanted to explore the chiaroscuro effect — the dramatic contrast between light and dark. The vibrant, honey-like skin of the persimmons seems to glow from within against the deep, velvet background.
Working with acrylics on a 20x20 cm canvas, I focused on the "alla prima" feeling, using thick, intentional brushstrokes to define the weight and roundness of the fruit. This piece is part of my exploration of simple, natural forms and how light can turn an everyday object into a moment of pure color and energy.
