No One Said Goodbye is a watercolor painting inspired by sketches I made while studying in Japan.

At that time, I often felt like an outsider. I wanted to become part of the world around me, but I constantly felt a distance between myself and society. This feeling of not belonging became one of the emotional foundations of the series.

After returning home, I revisited my Japanese sketches and transformed them into finished paintings. In this work, bamboo becomes more than a natural motif. It stands as a symbol of quiet endurance, separation, and emotional restraint. The vertical stems create a sense of distance and silence, while the delicate splashes of colour suggest inner tension beneath a calm surface.

The painting speaks about moments when something ends without explanation — when no one says goodbye, but the absence remains.
