This painting was born from a real-life observation. For the past four years, the same pair of birds has returned to the tree outside my window.
The most amazing thing is that they spend most of their time... kissing. And they can do it for hours.
He is slightly bigger than she is. Watching them, I noticed that she simply enjoys life, while he seems happiest just being by her side, protecting her and sharing every moment with her.
Their nest is in a nearby spruce tree, while the cherry tree outside my window has become their favorite meeting place.
This little love story became the inspiration for my painting, "No One Has Ever Loved Like This."
I borrowed the title from the poem of the same name by the Ukrainian poet Volodymyr Sosiura, because those words perfectly capture the pure and wholehearted love I witnessed.
