Nexus is a sculptural exploration of connection and tension, shaped through an intricate structure that gathers and compresses around an unseen centre.

Hand-modelled from mixed media, the sculpture is finished with hand-applied bronze leaf, creating a rich metallic surface that responds continuously to changing light. Warm reflections emerge across its raised and incised contours as different areas move between light and shadow, revealing the tactile complexity of the surface and creating a shifting dialogue between light, texture and form.

Entirely handcrafted, Nexus exists at the intersection of sculpture and material research. Its dimensional structure extends outward from the wall, giving the work a strong physical presence while maintaining a sense of visual tension and contained movement. The circular composition draws the eye towards its centre, where the intertwined forms appear to gather and hold themselves together.
