New York Drift IV (2026) Photograph by Steven Irwin

86.36 x 86.36 x 0.25cm (unframed) / 76.2 x 76.2cm (actual image size)

£500

New York Drift IV explores the city as a layered archive of memory, politics and everyday life. Combining photography with distressed textures, typography and graphic interventions, the work transforms a familiar Manhattan streetscape into a visual palimpsest where architecture becomes a surface for accumulated histories. Fragments of language, urban decay and symbolic imagery merge to reveal New York as a place continually shaped by culture, conflict and collective memory.
