New Leaves (2016) Original Oil Painting by JON PAUL WILSON

This painting was inspired by a walk in May through Horse Pasture wood, Hodsock Priory, Nottinghamshire, England. There had just been a fresh down pour of rain first thing in the morning which turned the silver bark of the Beech trees temporarily to a dark soaked brown colour. The contrast of the this raw umber bark set against the new lime green Beech tree leaves and a carpet of bluebells inspired the painting.
The painting is layered in oils and painted on a quality canvas. The painting has a protective gloss varnish finish.

The artwork is signed on the front and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
