Original artwork description
This piece combines house plan drawings, old photographs, old book pages collaged on a board, with gestural acrylic paint brush strokes. The ephemera isadhered and varnished with a satin coat of acrylic clear coat, that I use for its hard surface, clarity and protection of the art. I use a limited palette of honey yellow, amber and black that adds to the consistency of the piece. When selected ephemera for a work, color, text, etc.. The precision of architectural lines and musical notation with the raw energy of gestural marks.
