Original artwork description
Népenthès is an unusual ethnic sculpture, half woman, half plant, which was designed from atypical natural materials: natural wood of light forest worked by nature, and dried urns of Népenthès, tropical carnivorous plant.
It expresses the softness of femininity through its posture and curves, while its voluminous headdress and its tip reveal its belonging to the Nepenthe family...
She belongs to the Ostreides series, which expresses the complexity of life in its search for the most appropriate form for survival, as well as the wisdom of the spirit applied to the transformation of matter.
Nepenthe was made from a natural forest wood found on the ground, light in color and with the prettiest holes left by the weather and a few insects that have finally left it and abandoned it to its sad fate as a piece of dead wood, completed with wood cellulose surfine modeled then dried and painted in places with acrylic paint and water-soluble oil.
